Greg Roesberry never planned on writing a novel. But a few ideas kept turning over in his mind. What if a boy could talk to animals in their heads? What if he could heal with a touch? And what if that same boy suddenly had to run because his gift put him in danger? Those thoughts stayed with him until he sat down and began Yuri’s story.

He recalled his own childhood memories of exploring forests, hearing birds chirping, and being part of nature as inspiration for the creation of this book. The loyalty between animals, the strength of family, and the bravery involved in doing the right thing are all represented in this story. Greg wants to create a story based on the idea of using power to help others rather than control over them; using power to heal and to protect what is significant.

Currently, Greg is busy working on the next chapter of Yuri’s adventure. Whenever possible, he goes outside and looks at the little things that most people do not notice. He also continues to think of new stories. Through writing, he can share the adventures that he has enjoyed reading about. He wants to thank every single reader who opens his book and travels with him into Yuri’s world.
